Renovation
Bathroom
With a baby on the way and family due to stay, all before Christmas, the brief was clear — deliver a quick yet considered bathroom renovation before then!
The existing bathroom was dated and awkwardly spread across three separate rooms, making the space feel disconnected and inefficient. The clients also wanted to incorporate a bath suitable for their child, without compromising on style.
From the outset, the goal was to create a calm, spa-like sanctuary that felt both practical and luxurious. After exploring several layout options, the clients agreed that removing one window and relocating the existing window further along the wall would significantly improve the space. This allowed the shower to sit within its own defined zone, while creating a full wall for the vanity and mirror — instantly improving flow, function, and visual balance.
To soften the space, we selected a curved, wall-mounted vanity. This introduced gentle lines while creating the illusion of increased floor space. The warm timber finish added depth and contrast, immediately balancing the tiled surfaces. A carefully curated mix of coloured, large-format, and textured tiles further enhanced the room, bringing layers of character and visual interest.
The result is a beautifully resolved bathroom that feels calm, warm, and refined — a practical family space with a distinctly luxurious edge, designed to be enjoyed both now and for years to come.
